To assess the level of financial inclusion in the country the Bank of Zambia in collaboration with other financial
sector stakeholders implemented the FinScope 2020 Survey, in September – October 2020. The FinScope Survey
is an important research tool developed by FinMark Trust to provide credible national information on the demand, access, use of and behavior towards financial services by the adult population. It also enables policy makers and financial service providers to develop a more targeted response to the gaps and barriers that have been identified with regards to access and usage of financial services.
